ENTERING 2026
The spirit we're taking with us. All fire, obviously.
A few weeks before Christmas, I received a lovely order for a handbag . Not that it was some minor event. Even though it’s been moving at a slower pace for a year, my brand seems to continue its life, proudly living up to its name.
But shortly after this order, an email arrived in my inbox. "Dear Yeba, I just placed my order for my Yeba. I've been thinking about it for over a year. But it's never too late, isn't it? I'll wear it when you launch the Tribe gatherings, I hope our private circle in real life."
And as meaningful events rarely come alone, your messages started flooding in:
“I met a woman who was carrying a Yeba bag, what a joy to connect with her.”
“I’m at a conference and we’re proudly representing you. Only thing missing is you.”
“I can afford to buy any bag I want, but I only carry two and they’re both yours.”
“I’m giving a workshop today. Always with my lucky charm. By my side. #yebatribe for life.” (Translation)
A few words among so many others that all deeply moved me, and made me smile inside.
I’ve made several shifts in my life, changed careers multiple times. I’ve learned so much at each stage.
Since my most recent shift (hopefully this one will last 10 years too), I've been driven by a sincere vision rooted in writing, connection, sharing, and passing things forward.
I launched l’essentiel (my advisory services for brands) only to realise that what mattered most for me was still missing: creativity, life, you.
Deep down, I knew I needed to reintegrate YEBA—my name, my story, the mindset it embodies, the community who saw themselves in it. Because before Yeba became a brand, it was simply me. And as this year begins, that’s what I’m ready to embrace again.
THE 2026 SPIRIT
The news at the start of this year is anything but reassuring, it's true.
But 2026 is a fire year, overflowing with promise for those who dare to take the leap. A year to bring a passion project to life, to accelerate, as long as you don't lose your direction.
Those who follow the stars say it too: now is the time to pursue what truly matters to your heart. For me, that means evolving YEBA into a living community, a space where we can gather and grow together. A place to find courage, presence, practical resources, and wisdom on your journey toward becoming who you're meant to be and bringing your dreams to life.
On that note, before I go, I wanted to wish you the best for 2026. But as we all step into an unknown year together, I'd rather share a few pieces of advice—notes I wrote to myself that I hope will speak to you, whether you're 21 or 81.
So anyway, here goes…
All the answers are within you. No one knows what’s best for you better than you do.
Don’t let the noise or other people’s voices drown out the whisper of your own.
When you’re tired, rest.
There’s no cavalry coming. You are the cavalry. You’re the only person who can save yourself.
Be kind. You’ll be surprised which doors open.
Call the people you love. Memes and WhatsApp aren’t enough.
Be weirder. Your quirks are opportunities.
Always give far more than you hope to receive. That generosity will follow you your whole life.
Face your demons, whatever they are. That’s the key to growth.
Embrace the mess, the imperfection, even running late - that’s often where progress lives.
The more you walk, the more answers come to you.
Confidence isn’t in your head; it’s in the energy of taking action.
Listen to the birds sing. When they’re singing, there’s no danger.
Trust your gut. Notice your reactions. How you feel matters more than what you see or hear.
You don’t need to be the loudest in the room. Wait for the moment when your words will truly land.
Giving up isn’t always failure - it’s often a deep acceptance of who you are.
Keep your finances in order.
Water is life. Don’t forget to drink more of it.
All your different sides can coexist.
Move through the world with empathy, decency, kindness, compassion, and integrity - toward yourself and others.
Never stop learning. That’s how you truly grow.
Success is never built alone. Community is everything. It’s what keeps us going, and what we all must build. Lean on a circle of trusted women, nurture it, feed it.
Don’t worry - your people, your tribe, will always find you.
Happy New Year to you all. I hope this year brings you self-love and love for others, gentleness and fulfilment. I can’t wait to continue our exchanges.
